Some Skaven Clanrats that stormed the table & got finished already ( More pictures in the next post ),

  1. In the pictures the horses are not glued, will you be painting them first and then gluing them together after?

    1. That is the plan or do you think this is not wise? I've made , a few years back , a group of Empire knightly orders and there i first glued them together before painting. But they don't have hanging cloth hindering the painting. I've got the same problem with the High Elves Ellyrian reavers. Paint first or glue first?
If anyone has some advice , all is welcome !

  2. I would certainly try painting first, to see how it works. It should be a lot easier.

The only thing I can think of, is making sure that the same colours meet together when it is glued. The highlighting and shading on the hanging cloth, I mean. But these can be fixed with some paint when it is glued, if necessary.

I look forward to seeing how it works.
The Bretonnian archers look very cool, with their blue and yellow uniform

    1. Thanks Roy & also thanks for the advise ! I will certainly try to paint them first. But I'm researching to transfer the checker pattern to the cloth of the horse & knight. When I have a descent explanation of that, I will give that a go.

  3. I know what the problem is. I had that with an Elf figure to. I would first put the figure together but not glueing it. Then I would mark the parts that can't be or are difficult to reach with a brush. Then seperate the pieces again and paint the marked places. Then glue and paint the rest! Didn't you have that same problem on the Skaven rats?
Nice things going on on that table Mario!

    1. Thanks Peter & thanks for the advise ! I don't have any problems to paint the Skaven rats ( they're only 2 pieces ) , I paint the pieces separately & glue at the end.
