Skaven color test

So I started a new army ; the Skaven.

This is a fella of the Island of Blood set.

I tried to avoid brown because of the fact the Skaven are mostly brown.

So I used a vibrant yellow , a dirty white and a sewery green.

And I based the bases on the sewers theme with lost of goo and mold.

This will probably be the last miniature of 2014.

So the grand total stops at 210 miniatures this year.

It is almost double than the 125 miniatures I set as a goal at the beginning of this year.

Stay tuned for next year. With a few new army's. Such as the Skaven , Bretonnia and Beastmen that where lurking under the Christmas tree...

6 Old Dwarf Warriors finished !

I bought these a while back (only 6 unfortunately). And Yesterday I finished them.

They have the same color-scheme as my other groups of warriors.

I'm also tracking a lot on ebay to expand the group with 12 more of them.

So fingers crossed...

Last Paint Table of 2014.

I'm working on several things at once...

I started this week with the Witch Elves. Moved on to Bretonnian archers, then started on the Dwarves and finally started the Bretonnian Knights.

And as you see , the Dwarves move on more quickly than the rest. Because I can't decide on a color-scheme for the Bretonnians. ( my first idea was all Knights in a different color and add groups of archers and men at arms with the same color as the Knight for each Knight.)

Ideas are always welcome !

Not much progress since last time. I did the foundation of the armor ( green , chainmail and gold ).

High Elves Sorceress Alastriel finished !

Yesterday I finished Alastriel from Reaper miniatures.

I've integrated her in my High Elves army.

I used the usual color-scheme of my High Elves army except the hair color.

She is the fire / air mage.

Not much happened sinds last week. I've been busy with work.

No progress on the Dwarves , but I started on Alastriel from Reaper miniatures. ( Darcy Perry at http://hitstokill.blogspot.be/ finished his last week and it inspired me )

Skin , hair and top are almost finished. Needs some light tough ups or highlights.

And as you probably noticed , Alastriel is my first High Elf that has a different hair color than my main color (blonde). 

I'm trying to create some different mages. The mage from IoB with the green mantle and the purple cloud is a Nature / Spirit mage. 

For Alastriel I'm going for Fire (hair , gems maybe sword ) / Air ( flowing of the mantle ).
