Stardrake : day 2 W.I.P.

This was the end of day 1 : Assembled and base-coat.

 Day 2 : 2 base-coats of  purple + a 50/50 mix of purple wash and airbrush thinner. All done by airbrush ( first time I washed the model with the airbrush and actually worked , done it before and failed , but not this time! ) 

 Base-coated the wings black after doing the purple.

Dry brushed the purple 2 x with Genestealer and Lucius Lilac. And tested the second color ( fully done ) with the purple.

And I worked on the wings with the airbrush.

My inspiration was a beautiful sunset.

Stormcast Eternals new player on the table .... Stardrake ... W.I.P.

So I started on the Stardrake with Lord Celestant.

I assembled the dragon as much as possible without being in trouble painting it.

 And in the background still the Lord Relictor conversion into a Drakesworn Templar with parts from the Stardrake box..

 In basecoat so far ...

And for the color-scheme a combination of these...

A combination of the blue-ish dragon and purple dragon.

Blue-ish for the top part of the dragon + head and the purple for the bottom half (belly) and wings.

Age of Sigmar : Stormcast Eternals Retributors 3 finished !

Today I finished a third group of Stormcast Eternals Retributors.

These are the standard figures of the Age of Sigmar box converted with parts of the Paladins box.

They're painted in the same color-scheme as the rest of the army.

 And here some pictures of the 3 groups of Retributors.

Hammers , Spears & Axes.

The Retributors are the Storm that Walks, the wrath of the Heavens made manifest. Each Retributor bears a lightning hammer, a massive weapon around which celestial energies fizzle and spit. The justice they bring might be slow to arrive, but when it does so, it hits with thunderclap power.

Warhammer Quest Silver Tower : Knight Questor finished !

Today I focused on finishing the Knight Questor from the Warhammer Quest Silver Tower box.

To make him stand out of the other Stormcast Eternals , I used black as my main color in stead of blue. All other colors are the same as the other Stormcasts.

 Welcome to paint table 169 !

Today on the table 5 Stormcast Eternals. A conversion of a  Lord Relictor into a Drakesworn Templar , 3 converted Retributors and a Knight Questor. ( finished and more pictures of him in the next post !)

All are airbrushed in gold and washed with Reickland fleshshade and waiting for the next step, except for the Knight Questor of course. He is finished !

Stormcast Eternals W I P

A bit more progress on the Stormcast Eternals.

I assembled and converted 3 Retributors. They're the standard models of the Age of Sigmar box.

I've bought several groups (3) of these and this is the second conversion so far , but not the last.

As I have still 14 Retributors of these to make. In total 20 for the same price as one single box of 5. And a bonus of fun for converting the buggers.

And a Lord Relictor conversion. I converted him with a sword , shield and head from the Stardrake box to become a Drakesworn Templar.

And the Knight Questor from the Warhammer Quest Silver Tower box.

And they're primed and ready to paint !

 Welcome to paint table 168 !

 No painted models on the table. I'm still in the process of assembling / converting Stormcast Eternals.

 Left you see a Retributor. The first one of a group of 3 and a conversion of the leader model of the Age of Sigmar box. I cut of the hammer and the bottom of the weapon and added the spear weapon from the Paladins box.

The right model is the Knight Questor from the Warhammer Quest Silver Tower box.
