First High Elves Ellyrian Reaver finished !

Today I finished the first High elves Ellyrian Reaver.

This will become a group of 5 from the Island of Blood Box.

I used the usual color-scheme for my High Elves and added the blue, which I also used with the Prince on Griffon and some Mages.

I've painted the halves separately and glued the halves together when they were finished.

Unfortunately there's still a very small gap where the model does not fit properly.

My progression over the years

I got this idea on Google+ from Stephanie Young.Who already made an huge progression at painting in a very short time.

And I did something similar like this in 2012 (follow the link to the post), When this blog was written in Dutch.

I found it a really good idea to do it again now 3 years later.

My first regiment was a skeleton regiment in 2007 ( looking back they look awful ).

 and some other colored miniatures (Chaos & High elves 2007)

Then from my post in 2012 the Hordes miniature and Chimera.

The Chimera is done by hand ( didn't have an airbrush then ).

And finally a few examples of my work this year (2015).

So this is the end of the tour. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Yesterday I started on 5 High Elves Ellyrian reavers.

I'm done with the horses skin and mains. I have chosen for a grey spotted Andalusian horse with dark mains with a purple shimmer. 

For the rest, started on the elf skin. Just needs highlights.

High Elves Frost & Fire Phoenix finished !

Today I finished the bases of the 2 birds and so ends this project.

I used Dwarf ruins like with the others ( Griffon & Skycutter eagle ).

So here they are .... the stars :

Frost & Fire Phoenix final airbrush session

 Today I had the last airbrush session for these two.

The rest will be done by brush.

Frost : I highlighted the crystals with white then light purple.

Fire : I corrected some flaws and highlighted with white in the tail.

Frost & Fire Phoenix airbrush session 3 :

Frost Phoenix : I did the purple in various tones of the same color ( 50/50 mix blue & red ).

Fire Phoenix : highlighting with orange , then red and finally brown.

At the next session highlights with white ( crystals and heat bubbles ).

I'm still not sure if I'm going to do this with airbrush or regular brush.

Today the second airbrush session :

Frost Phoenix : cleaned up with white.

Fire Phoenix : highlights in white then cover the white with yellow.

Airbrush session 1 :

Frost Phoenix : Base in dark blue , highlight with light blue , blue glaze.

Fire Phoenix : Base red.

 Not much to report. Just put the birds in primer.

Dwarf Warriors 4 finished !

Today I finished a 4th group of warriors from the Battle for skull pass box.

After painting one as they are, the other groups are conversions.

This group is converted with parts of the Empire Flagellants warband box.

And the Champions weapon is converted with Black Orks bitz.

High Elves Seoni finished !

Today I finished Seoni from Reaper pathfinder.

She was planned for the High elves and then I started doubting. I was also thinking of integrating her in the Bretonnia or Empire army. But at the last minute I decided to keep loyal to my first idea and keep her at the High Elves.

She has become a mage at the High Elves army.

Water / Earth

Water : her blue wave like hair.

Earth : her staff and sandals and pouch with maps of the realm.

Thanks to all who suggested the color for the dress. It was taken into consideration and I decided on the pink because the bags are already white and for the contrast and it was already an existing color in the army .
