Dark Eldar Lilith finished !

Yesterday I finished Dark Eldar Lilith.

As I'm very busy at the moment with the preparations to go to Crisis at Antwerp ( making lists of materials and miniatures i would like to find , etc ), the post got delayed to today.

This is a project that has been put on hold for a while now.

When i started on the High Elves Handmaiden , I looked at this miniature again and decided to paint it at the same time as the Handmaiden.

This is the result :

I'm sad to say that my Dark Eldar army consists of 2 painted miniatures at this moment.

But that is because I'm more into Warhammer fantasy than Warhammer 40K.

High Elves Handmaiden of the Everqueen finished !

Today I finished the High Elves Handmaiden of the Everqueen.

She will be a leader of the female part of the High Elves army.

I used the usual color-scheme from the High Elves army and added some new colors.

A purple ( vallejo model color 'blue violet' ) for the cape and a very nice red for the heart shaped gems.

On the paint table today : on the left Lilith from Dark Eldar and on the right High Elves Handmaiden of the Everqueen.

Lilith is just started. Painted the basics and wash on the skin and hair.

High Elves Handmaiden : skin and hair , silver and gold & pink : basics and wash done.

Next week : Paint Table Saturday first birthday : 1 year old !

Some more historical Perry miniatures : French troops

Yesterday I finished 3 Perry miniatures : french troops.

They are painted in a different ( didn't see it until they were finished ) tone of grey as the rest of the long-coated french troops.

( I forgot to write down the color I used last time )

But I'm liking the diversity of grey tones. 

And a group picture of all the Perry miniatures french troops that are already painted. 

15 in total.

Not as much as I would like but we're getting there...

When you have as many miniatures & army's as I have, then there will be project that get pushed back or even forgotten.

So these 3 miniatures are the last to make a total of 200 miniatures already for this year with still 2 moths to go. 

This is the biggest number of miniatures I painted in one year so far.

( 2011 : +/- 125 , 2012 : +/- 80 , 2013 : 125 )

I'm not going to increase the limit again like last time ( from 125 to 200 ).

But I will slowly move forward and see where we'll end for this year.

I could not wait to see the result , so here they are.

I'm still working on the 4 High Elves Witch Elves.

I find them difficult to paint with all those tiny details.

When these are finished , there are 5 more to model and paint ... ppphhh ... 

But when they are finished it will be a great looking group within the High Elves.

The finished version will be shown in the next post.

High Elves Witch Elves WIP

Today I worked on some Witch Elves. 

The test model is ready and I started on 4 more...

I know these are Dark Elves but I had to integrate them into the High Elves.

I love the models & I don't have an Dark Elf army anymore ( sold it ).

So the witches saw the light and followed it to the High Elves , where they bathed in sunlight that lighted up their hair & skin. From black to blonde & they liked what they saw. Now they're fighting for good with an undying love & passion instead of undying hatred.

It's possible that in the near future more Dark Elves or even Wood Elves will see the light, Who knows...
